Right to Information (RTI)

The Right to Information Act, 2005 aims to promote transparency, accountability, and openness in the functioning of public authorities. In compliance with the provisions of the RTI Act, Hindupat Institute of Teacher Training is committed to providing relevant information to citizens and stakeholders in a timely and transparent manner.

The Institution ensures that information related to its academic, administrative, and financial functioning is made available in accordance with the norms and procedures prescribed under the RTI Act, 2005.

Objectives of RTI

  • To promote transparency and accountability in the functioning of the Institution.
  • To empower citizens by providing access to information.
  • To ensure fair, ethical, and responsible governance in academic and administrative matters.

How to File an RTI Application

Any citizen seeking information under the Right to Information Act, 2005 may file an RTI application as per the following procedure:

  • The application may be written in English, Hindi, or the official language of the area.
  • The application should clearly specify the information sought.
  • The application should be addressed to the Public Information Officer (PIO) of the Institution.
  • The application may be submitted in person or by post to the designated RTI office of the Institution.

RTI Application Fee

  • An application fee of ₹10/- is payable along with the RTI application, as prescribed under the RTI Act.
  • Applicants belonging to the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category are exempted from payment of the application fee, subject to submission of valid proof.

Mode of Payment

The RTI application fee may be paid through Cash / Demand Draft / Indian Postal Order (IPO) in favour of Hindupat Institute of Teacher Training, as per applicable rules.

Response Time

Information shall be provided within 30 days from the date of receipt of the RTI application.

In cases where the information sought concerns the life or liberty of a person, it shall be provided within 48 hours, as per the provisions of the RTI Act, 2005.

First Appeal

If the applicant does not receive a response within the stipulated time or is not satisfied with the information provided, a First Appeal may be filed before the First Appellate Authority of the Institution within 30 days of the receipt of the reply or expiry of the response period.

Applicants seeking guidance, assistance, or clarification related to RTI matters may contact the designated RTI office of the Institution during working hours.

RTI Compliance

The Institution strictly adheres to the provisions of the Right to Information Act, 2005 and ensures that all RTI applications are processed in a fair, transparent, and time-bound manner in accordance with statutory guidelines.
