Library

The HITT Library has a rich collection of books, journals, and magazines. A well-furnished reading room attached to the library provides students with a comfortable environment to utilize these resources effectively. The library includes a wide range of reference materials such as encyclopedia, dictionaries, biographies, and educational CDs. It also subscribes to various educational journals covering subjects like science, arts, environmental studies, and value education.

Library Rules

  • The library remains open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on all working days.
  • Strict silence must be maintained inside the library premises.
  • All staff members and students using the library must register their name, entry time, and purpose of visit in the library register.

Books Issue & Fine

  • Staff members are allowed to borrow up to five (5) books at a time, while students may borrow up to two (2) books.
  • Books are issued to staff members for 20 days and to students for 15 days.
  • An overdue fine of ₹2 per book per day is charged for late returns.
  • Students must pay the overdue fine at the library counter.
  • Reference books cannot be removed from the library. They may be consulted only within the library premises.

Library Security

Carrying handbags and printed books inside the library is prohibited.

Facilities

The library has facilities such as internet access, photocopying, scanning, and printing.

Reading Room Facilities

The spacious reading room and an outdoor balcony provide students with a comfortable reading environment. In addition, students are offered several other facilities, such as:

  • Adequate lighting (natural & artificial)
