Executive Council
The Executive Council is the highest policy-making and executive body of Hindupat Institute of Teacher Training (HITT). It is responsible for providing overall leadership and direction to the institution in matters related to academic planning, administration, finance, and institutional development. The Council ensures that the institute functions in accordance with its Vision and Mission and complies with the norms and guidelines of NCTE, affiliating university, and other statutory authorities.
Objectives of the Executive Council
- To ensure effective governance and administration of the institute
- To promote academic excellence and quality assurance
- To frame and approve institutional policies and strategic plans
- To ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements
- To support sustainable growth and institutional development
Functions and Powers of the Executive Council
The Executive Council shall:
- Formulate, review, and approve policies, rules, and regulations of the institute
- Oversee academic, administrative, and financial activities
- Approve the annual budget, financial statements, and audit reports
- Monitor the implementation of academic Programmes and activities
- Review recommendations of IQAC and other statutory committees
- Ensure adherence to NCTE, UGC, university, and government norms
- Sanction creation of posts, committees, and infrastructure development
- Promote transparency, accountability, and good governance
Meetings of the Executive Council
- The Executive Council meets at least twice in an academic year or as and when required
- Meetings are conducted in a democratic and participative manner
- Decisions are recorded through properly documented minutes, which are maintained for record and reference
Role in Institutional Development
The Executive Council plays a pivotal role in:
- Academic planning and introduction of new Programmes
- Faculty development and student welfare initiatives
- Infrastructure expansion and resource mobilization
- Maintaining discipline, ethics, and institutional values
